ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO TEOTWAWKI?

A disturbing trend among many Christians has been some kind of perverse lust for TEOTWAWKI (An Acronym for "The End Of The World As We Know It") and although it's understandable that everyone is seeking to see our world change to become a utopia I have always found it to feel very wrong to be looking forward to it and not trying to change it without death, blood and war.

Humans are still quite animal like in their desire for blood and revenge and many religious people feel it's time for the "evil people" to get their just due... But I fail to understand why someone who claims to have the "Love of Jesus" in them could have a militant attitude that seeks anything near revenge.

To me, anyone claiming to follow Jesus should desire what Jesus would desire.. PEACE, JOY, TOLERANCE and COMPASSION are a major part of LOVE so if you are looking forward to watching the "sinners" burn or Jesus cutting the heads off Demons in my opinion you better rethink your position... because compassion desires that ALL MIGHT BE SAVED!

Militant and wild eyed vengeance is NOT the way of my God (YHWH) and the reason many misunderstand is because they take the passages of books like Revelation or the old Testament JUDGEMENT books way too literally and fail to see the underlying meanings.

Everyone would like to think that the present beliefs are absolute and correct but having done substantive research it has become obvious that many things in religions have been changed very very slowly over time by false teachers, redefined dogma and misapplied doctrine. political, financial or other "selfish power" based reasons.

Love is other centered and UN-selfish. It NEVER seeks harm on anyone and is slow to judgement and anger. Love does not have to be proven right and Love would never desire anything that holds the breath of life to eternally suffer... yet we still see a form of radical HATE pervading groups of well-meaning people.. some of whom claim that God is out for Blood against any who will not hear him.. such as this example from ALTERNET (part of the story reproduced below...go to Link for remainder)

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Todd Bentley has a long night ahead of him, resurrecting the dead, healing the blind, and exploding cancerous tumors. Since April 3, the 32-year-old, heavily tattooed, body-pierced, shaved-head Canadian preacher has been leading a continuous "supernatural healing revival" in central Florida. To contain the 10,000-plus crowds flocking from around the globe, Bentley has rented baseball stadiums, arenas and airport hangars at a cost of up to $15,000 a day. Many in attendance are church pastors themselves who believe Bentley to be a prophet and don't bat an eye when he tells them he's seen King David and spoken with the Apostle Paul in heaven. "He was looking very Jewish," Bentley notes.

Tattooed across his sternum are military dog tags that read "Joel's Army." They're evidence of Bentley's generalship in a rapidly growing apocalyptic movement that's gone largely unnoticed by watchdogs of the theocratic right. According to Bentley and a handful of other "hyper-charismatic" preachers advancing the same agenda, Joel's Army is prophesied to become an Armageddon-ready military force of young people with a divine mandate to physically impose Christian "dominion" on non-believers.

"An end-time army has one common purpose -- to aggressively take ground for the kingdom of God under the authority of Jesus Christ, the Dread Champion," Bentley declares on the website for his ministry school in British Columbia, Canada. "The trumpet is sounding, calling on-fire, revolutionary believers to enlist in Joel's Army. ... Many are now ready to be mobilized to establish and advance God's kingdom on earth."

Joel's Army followers, many of them teenagers and young adults who believe they're members of the final generation to come of age before the end of the world, are breaking away in droves from mainline Pentecostal churches. Numbering in the tens of thousands, they base their beliefs on an esoteric reading of the second chapter of the Old Testament Book of Joel, in which an avenging swarm of locusts attacks Israel. In their view, the locusts are a metaphor for Joel's Army.

Despite their overt militancy, there's no evidence Joel's Army followers have committed any acts of violence. But critics warn that actual bloodletting may only be a matter of time for a movement that casts itself as God's avenging army. (READ MORE..CLICK HERE)

So, what about YOU?.. Do you contain LOVE or are you looking so forward to Jesus return that you are condemning sinners and just waiting for the "Get-Back" you think Armageddon will bring?

BE LOVE & BE LOVED!

I would that we could change the world one heart at a time by paying love forward - but the sad reality is that no one wants to pay out what they do not get in return.

Instead of doing to others as we wish would be done to us - we do to others as they have done to us, which sadly is usually not anything done in love.
