NEW HEADER MADE BY ELIA..It's Awesome!

Just thought I would thank my dear fellow worker Elia who now also has a link available here on Blogger to her blog (see clickable link on the right column and add her Blog to your reading list as well).

You might also notice that we have been accepted as an Affiliate for LinkShare (one of the foremost advertising affiliate companies in the world.

Since I do not sell anything myself it is wonderful to be accepted by an affiliate that offers some of the highest Quality advertisers available.

To be accepted by major company sponsors means that they also feel this is a site worthy to carry their names and the best part is that if you spend money with our advertisers a portion of the sale goes directly to this ministry.. so go buy some stuff from them and it helps keep me going without ever asking you for a dime in donations or selling you any merchandise myself.. which I find repulsive for ministries to do.. (obviously from my new YOUTUBE VIDEO..LOL).

Great things are coming (on many levels) so subscribe and check back often as I will be adding some new features and sharing both fun and important insights and information.

THANKS FOR READING THIS BLOG and tell me by comment what you think of the NEW BANNER BY ELIA!

WHERE IS THE JOY?

As a lover of YHWH (God) and humanity I spend a great deal of time in prayer and study regarding God’s will and purpose for his creation .

Yet as I GOOGLE all around the internet seeking people who have TRUTH I am confronted mostly with dry and caustic prose written by well meaning people who frankly have a great deal of knowledge but lack the essential element that makes one desire God… JOY!

I am not surprised.. But rather dismayed by the bulk of what most people consider “God’s Will”.

So many articles and websites seem devoted NOT to the perpetuation of Joy and Love.. But rather have a focus on how “man is EVIL” and how if people don’t immediately “accept Jesus as Lord” they “will be tossed into an eternal lake of fire where they will suffer endless torture ETERNALLY“.

If I were not who I am I would simply turn and run away from such a theology because if this is the focus then the “God of Love” is nothing more than a hateful, jealous, mean-spirited egomaniac and such a God would deserve no worship… this version of YHWH is the most popular but the wide-path never leads to truth.

God is Light. God is Peace. God is Mercy. God is LOVE!

So then why are so many people so afraid of God that they turn to a faith out of FEAR rather than Joy?

Does God hold a “gun” called “Hell” to peoples heads and tell them then that if they do not accept His “love” that he will place them in the spiritual equivalent of a torture chamber with no hope of reprieve?

I think NOT!

I have written before about “Hell” and so I will not address this subject now.. But rather wish to look at why it is that so much “religion” is seemingly joyless.

Joy makes a person happy and filled with hope.

Joy can make one feel almost drunk with enthusiasm.

Joy contains no dread , fear or threats.

JOY IS WHAT MAN DESIRES WHEN THEY SEEK LOVE.. And if GOD IS LOVE than this God wishes that mankind would be filled to the brim with JOY… but frankly most religious websites seem more filled with dread, fear, hate and “pity of the UNSAVED”.

When I seek truth I look for one thing “Does it contain Joy and LOVE?”.. anything else simply cannot be from God since a “God of LOVE” can contain nothing but LOVE.

But why then do so many preach a message in which God is wrathful and filled with hate toward those who will not follow him? Perhaps it’s because these teachings are perpetuated by “followers” who came to God because of “guilt and fear” and since they live in this terror they think that this is God’s desire that man should be terrified by God.

Is it not written that we are to “love our enemies”?

If this is true why then does not God follow His own admonition? The fact is.. HE DOES, but you would never see that if all you see is fear and dread.

God LOVES the world or His Son would not have come to it.

God seeks people who wish to live in peace and joy and tolerant love one for another.

God wants that men should accept and follow His Will not by fear that they will eternally be damned if they do not and any who teach this are teaching an “Anti-God/Anti-Christ” that fits their version of God but whom is NOT the God I speak of or worship.

My God is about LOVE and He seeks only those who willingly Follow Him because they too seek real and passionate Love and JOY.

It is written that in the End of Days men would follow a “doctrine of devils” created by men and that this “delusion” would be allowed because of the hardness of human hearts.

This “dogmatic threatening legalistic” path was called the “wide-path that leads to destruction”.. THUS this delusion actually means “the popular path that leads to hell” and frankly such a path contains only fear and dread. Those who follow it only came to God because they feared that God would torture them if they did not and then they perpetuate this path by teaching it to the teachers of the people in seminaries and bible colleges.

In discussion with one person who disagreed with me they asked “Do you then claim you have greater knowledge than those who have spent years training in the major theological universities? And I said “No, I claim that those who train in theological universities are simply being taught a dogma or doctrine specific to that schools “religious ideals”… so they may have what is called ’knowledge’ but if a man is taught wrongly then the knowledge they have is not from God teaching the spirit.. But from Men teaching the brain.”

The brain, being physical, is capable of error but the Spirit is what we are supposed to be using to learn the will of God.

It is written “The letter killeth.. but the Spirit brings life” and this means that those who place their faith only in books (letters) and the philosophies of men (religions) lack in what God really seeks ..which are those who use their own Spirit to learn.

If you believe in God out of TERROR you are not following truth.. For only once you have and project Love and Joy are you really living in truth.

BE JOYFUL you who “fear not” and LIVE ONLY IN PEACE & LOVE for your spirit even now lives in the “kingdom of YHWH”.

If you trust the power of YHWH then let HIM instruct those whom He wishes to know of Him and stop calling people “sinners” and telling them to be “terrified” by God.

Begin then simply accepting and LOVING the “SINNERS“…for even those who are forgiven are still one of them and there are no “brownie points” for how many you convince to follow your specific ideals, truths or religions…

…Only LOVE is valued by the God of LOVE and all else is speculation, opinion and vanity.

Where there is no JOY there is no LOVE and where there is no LOVE God cannot be present.

BE LOVE & BE LOVED!

READ MY BLOG.. Humor: For laffs ONLY!

NOTE: I actually found this on the internet and it was (in my opinion) humerous enough to modify a tad and post here. I realize some may be offended by it's content and I apologize in advance if it offends anyone.. But to me it sort of mocks the traditionalist iconic view of Jesus that I personally find a tad distateful since it borders on Idolatry.. so if you don't find this at least somewhat humorous perhaps my blog is not for you.. oh, and btw my Blog actually is a tad more relevant and thought provoking than the copy in the ad might lead one to believe. I did not write the original copy I just added a few tweeks..LOL.. BE LOVE & BE LOVED! EVOLUTION? CREATION? WHO CARES..WE'RE HERE!

THE DEBATE RAGES ON BETWEEN EVOLUTIONIST AND CREATIONIST.. BUT WHY?

I am one of those people who gave up long ago trying to argue the question of which side is correct.

To me it is speculative and divisive to the who cause of "Christ" which was to be about UNITY.. not division..

...See, it is a matter of FAITH either way until definitive evidence can be found and no matter what the ultimate answer it will not actually ever be discovered if both sides are unwilling to budge in their beliefs.

I am a fact seeker on such issues... I don't decide ANYTHING until all the evidence is presented and weighed and if the arguments become only childish name calling or put-downs then I am less likely to give the presenter any credibility (and I see this on BOTH SIDES).

I try to learn by being "LIKE CLAY" (does not the Bible tell people of faith to be this way) and thus I refuse to harden on this issue until all the FACTS are in and one or the other can be authoritatively proven.. and quite frankly my current view is that BOTH ARE RIGHT (WHAT!!!! you might ask...ok...Ill explain that later.. but for now let me show you why I dislike debating this issue as it is presently being done).

The sites I often see this debate make me wonder if people of both sides have lost their minds or have the education no higher than grade school "bullies" (a recent TV show has proven to me that most adults can't even outSMART a 5th Grader).

Here are 4 ACTUAL ARGUMENTS (2 each side) that are very typical cut and pasted from online "ignorance and hatefests" that are supposed to be debates of this issue... Notice how well presented (not) and educated (not) they make the commenter appear.

EVOLUTIONIST (sarcastically):

COMMENT HEADER: you commie atheist "intellectuals" are so deluded...

It's simple! God put the fossils there to test our faith.

See, what most people don't know, is that God is not only a Vengeful God, a Loving God, an Omniscient and Unitary God...he's also a Prankster God.

Let me take you on a tour. First, he created the Heavens. Then the Earth. Meantime, he was also creating the laws of gravity, thermodynamics, the elements (arranged very nicely in a periodic table). Utterly elegant, efficient, beautiful stuff. Only GOD could possibly make something so beee-youtiful as the second law of thermodynamics, or Bohr's theory, or the gold atom, or heck, chocolate ice cream.

There's one for you mis-believers...CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM! How could all those ingredients "evolve" in just such a fashion as to create something so exquisite as CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM?

So, I digress. After taking a little break from that stuff, He writes the History, and the Law, in the bible.

Then the jolly prankster goes and stuffs all those bones into the chalk and limestone hillsides...to see if we'll question his authority!

I mean, what are you gonna choose...the inescapable laws of nature, or the law of God?

CREATIONIST:

Admittedly, my research only goes as far as Wikipedia, but they are by no means biased towards a Christian worldview, and even the Lyell article there says that he was a lawyer. He is classified as a geologist now, but had very little formal training. As if that wasn't enough, the radiometric dating techniques that supposedly work today weren't in use when he developed the geologic column. Lyell died 20 years before Marie Curie made her discoveries, so this basically means that there was no science involved in the formation of the timescale, just conjecture.

CREATIONIST:

I want to thank Dr. Ron Carlson for enlightening the listener to hear truth! I am very pleased to see others standing up against the THEORY of evolution. Recently more and more churches/denominations are excepting the lie of the devil in bringing in deception in these last days. As Dr. Ron said, "there is no scientific evidence that the earth is older then 6,000 years." Today we must return to the founders and long time truth of major universities years past i nwhich they taught that th Bible proves science, medicine, etc, and not the other way around! It is amazing how the enemy is deceiving slowly more and more people every day! Blessings in Christ,

Do any of these convince me of anything.. NO, NOT AT ALL, they are either firmly established in ignorance or useless trolls being sarcastic to get attention. Realize I posted Pro-creationist comments from a religious site and Pro-Evolutionist comments from a non-religious one... But you can find both types of comments anywhere this debate gets going.

Yes, there are some that try to be unbiased and educated but it still looks more like a "tug of war" or "argument gone wild" and it's ugly, repulsive and foolish to me.

Many Atheists now call themselves FREE THINKERS but to me the "firm belief that their is definitely NO GOD" is not actually FREE THINKING at all... It's like I use the term "Liberal" to define what I am NOT because I side with the political Leftists but a true "Liberal" is actually more of a "centrist" which gives each side a fair hearing.. the same hold true for the FREE THINKERS who abuse a term i rather like by making it not so FREE after all.

It seems to me that "Free Thinking" should be "OPEN MINDED" so that though I have a Faith in God I can still use that term because I am OPEN MINDED and mold my faith to truth. (My Faith , by the way is based on my own evidence that is highly personal and having SEEN GOD I believe fully.. Yet, since I have no evidence I do not push this on people).

As for the CHRISTIAN side I often get frustrated by the "church-goin Wikipedia Experts" who read only from Books approved by their religious beliefs and think they understand everything there is to know about everything.

Even much of today's clergy were trained in universities that were HOTBEDS FOR DISPENSATIONALISM and I consider this teaching to be not only questionable but may lead to many Christians into not understanding something the Bible discusses a lot (Zion) and assuming ISRAEL, JERUSALEM and ZION are only related to Hebrews and a Land in the Middle East because CHRISTIAN ZIONISM is a huge part of the dispensationalist error created only in the 1800's by a preacher named Darby and promoted heavily by a man of questionable repute named Scofield (READ PREVIOUS RELATED BLOGS OR GO TO www.wwjsnl.com for more info regarding my study on this).

Returning to the subject of CREATIONISM vs EVOLUTIONISM.. Both are a "faith" based belief/theory as neither has yet to 100% authoritatively with unquestionable empirical evidence support their side... thus to argue this without such evidence as being a fact makes the hard core evolutionist and the hard core creationist just as guilty as the other as being trapped in FAITH ALONE (I define "Faith" as believing something that cannot unquestionably be proven.. not, as some argue, only based on Religion)

My take is this..

CREATION AND EVOLUTION CAN CO-EXIST AND UNIFY because why must the God who created time itself be limited to time?

Why must the Book of Genesis be so literally true that the entire creation progress takes only 7 literal earth based days (Time is relative to position and a day to the maker might be one entire rotation of all that is and tell me HOW LONG IS THAT.. does not the Bible even say a day to God is "as a thousand years" so even if one wanted to be literal then creation itself lasted 7,000 years).

If Mankind IS God's greatest creation why would he only take a mere week to put together the "cage" and then quickly mold people.. breath life into em' and say.. I'm tired ..I'm gonna take a nap.. (what kind of limited God throws together the greatest thing ever made over a weekend???)

I like to believe that over a great deal of time God brought humanity up to a level of perfection that may have taken eons and carefully sculpted and molded and modified the creation as lovingly and patiently as Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel.. Otherwise we are not all that special.

So perhaps BOTH SIDES have some truth to them.. Perhaps BOTH SIDES need to get together and seek truth in partnership rather than hateful and ignorant debate reminiscent of a less educated age in which truth was denied to make religious opinion appear authoritative.. anyone recall Copernicus or Galileo (both were said to be heretics.. yet were later proven to be pretty much correct).

When we harden whatever Faith we have and do not seek some unity in seeking TRUTH we end up polarizing only dogma and doctrine most foul and it keeps us from evolving our knowledge completely which is God's will that we should.

Rodney King once asked "Why can't we all just get along?" and i agree because ultimately my Bottom line about all this is:

CREATION?

EVOLUTION?

WHO CARES?.. WE ARE HERE!!!!

NOW LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

ARE NON-CHRISTIANS SAVED?

My Dear Friends,

I often have people ask if non-Christian people can receive salvation and I suppose my answer is really “That is up to God”. It is not right for anyone to try to assume what God will do to each person and my hope would be that ALL COULD BE SAVED for perfect LOVE would not wish there to even be anything close to eternal damnation or hell.

I am not into “religion” per se’ yet I found the following sermon from Joseph Ratzinger (now the Pope) to offer a rather interesting view for a man who is supposed to promote a specific belief as The ONLY way.

There are areas in this that we differ and I often will post items of a controversial nature to see what my readers think (I suppose I must be more careful as something I posted this morning may have contained an attitude or information that some may have thought I agreed with in full and did not.

I indeed love ALL people and when I speak against something I am not doing so to be racist or hateful.. I find Hate Speech to be repugnant and I apologize if the Post I allowed to be there offended anyone… It was not intended to do so but I can understand the objection and I will attempt to be more cautious to at least post a more clear disclaimer when it might offend.

The whole ordeal with another site I am dealing with caused me to rush the post without a disclaimer and thus some indeed took it wrongly so I have eliminated that post… I will try to be more cautious hereon in but I wish to warn my readers that I am a FREE SPEECH advocate and therefore I often might post things so that both sides of an idea or issue might be available so I am true to my belief to “Learn all that is learnable and know all that is knowable and weigh and measure what is truth with LOVE”

Here is Ratzingers sermon from 1964

Are Non-Christians Saved?
In a 1964 sermon, the Catholic priest who later became pope discussed whether there is salvation outside the Church.
By Joseph Ratzinger

...Everything we believe about God, and everything we know about man, prevents us from accepting that beyond the limits of the Church there is no more salvation, that up to the time of Christ all men were subject to the fate of eternal damnation. We are no longer ready and able to think that our neighbor, who is a decent and respectable man and in many ways better than we are, should be eternally damned simply because he is not a Catholic. We are no longer ready, no longer willing, to think that eternal corruption should be inflicted on people in Asia, in Africa, or wherever it may be, merely on account of their not having "Catholic" marked in their passport.

Actually, a great deal of thought had been devoted in theology, both before and after Ignatius, to the question of how people, without even knowing it, in some way belonged to the Church and to Christ and could thus be saved nevertheless. And still today, a great deal of perspicacity is used in such reflections.

Yet if we are honest, we will have to admit that this is not our problem at all. The question we have to face is not that of whether other people can be saved and how. We are convinced that God is able to do this with or without our theories, with or without our perspicacity, and that we do not need to help him do it with our cogitations. The question that really troubles us is not in the least concerned with whether and how God manages to save others.

The question that torments us is, much rather, that of why it is still actually necessary for us to carry out the whole ministry of the Christian faith—why, if there are so many other ways to heaven and to salvation, should it still be demanded of us that we bear, day by day, the whole burden of ecclesiastical dogma and ecclesiastical ethics? And with that, we are once more confronted, though from a different approach, with the same question we raised yesterday in conversation with God and with which we parted: What actually is the Christian reality, the real substance of Christianity that goes beyond mere moralism? What is that special thing in Christianity that not only justifies but compels us to be and live as Christians?

It became clear enough to us, yesterday, that there is no answer to this that will resolve every contradiction into incontrovertible, unambivalent truth with scientific clarity. Assent to the hiddenness of God is an essential part of the movement of the spirit that we call "faith." And one more preliminary consideration is requisite. If we are raising the question of the basis and meaning of our life as Christians, as it emerged for us just now, then this can easily conceal a sidelong glance at what we suppose to be the easier and more comfortable life of other people, who will "also" get to heaven. We are too much like the workers taken on in the first hour whom the Lord talks about in his parable of the workers in the vineyard (Mt 20:1-6). When they realized that the day's wage of one denarius could be much more easily earned, they could no longer see why they had sweated all day. Yet how could they really have been certain that it was so much more comfortable to be out of work than to work? And why was it that they were happy with their wages only on the condition that other people were worse off than they were? But the parable is not there on account of those workers at that time; it is there for our sake. For in our raising questions about the "why" of Christianity, we are doing just what those workers did. We are assuming that spiritual "unemployment"—a life without faith or prayer—is more pleasant than spiritual service. Yet how do we know that?

We are staring at the trials of everyday Christianity and forgetting on that account that faith is not just a burden that weighs us down; it is at the same time a light that brings us counsel, gives us a path to follow, and gives us meaning. We are seeing in the Church only the exterior order that limits our freedom and thereby overlooking the fact that she is our spiritual home, which shields us, keeps us safe in life and in death. We are seeing only our own burden and forgetting that other people also have burdens, even if we know nothing of them. And above all, what a strange attitude that actually is, when we no longer find Christian service worthwhile if the denarius of salvation may be obtained even without it! It seems as if we want to be rewarded, not just with our own salvation, but most especially with other people's damnation—just like the workers hired in the first hour. That is very human, but the Lord's parable is particularly meant to make us quite aware of how profoundly un-Christian it is at the same time. Anyone who looks on the loss of salvation for others as the condition, as it were, on which he serves Christ will in the end only be able to turn away grumbling, because that kind of reward is contrary to the loving-kindness of God.

NUCLEAR WAR ANYONE???

Nuclear threat remains very real for world
Wednesday, August 06, 2008
Leave a Comment | Default | Large

THE ISSUE: 63rd anniversary of Hiroshima bombing

OUR OPINION: Nuclear threat may be more real than ever

Walter Cronkite became an American institution as he anchored the CBS Evening News from 1962-1981. He saw the Cold War up close. He reported on its daily dangers.

In retirement, Cronkite in 2005 was host for “Lessons From Hiroshima, 60 Years Later,” on public radio stations nationwide. With today the 63th anniversary of the first atomic bomb attack, on Hiroshima, Japan, the lessons from the event that launched the age of nuclear weapons remain to be learned.

Cronkite reminds us of those lessons, writing about Hiroshima and what has transpired since — and what might be expected for the future.

———

The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ... were stunning and sobering events. They brought World War II to an end, and everyone was thankful for that. Not too many of us stopped to think about the full implications of those bombs for our future. We were too busy celebrating the end of that terrible war.

One of the people who had it absolutely right at the very beginning about the meaning of Hiroshima was the great French writer Albert Camus. He wrote in a French resistance newspaper: “Our technological civilization has just reached its greatest level of savagery. We will have to choose, in the more or less near future, between collective suicide and the intelligent use of our scientific conquests.” We are still facing that choice.

Both the United States and the U.S.S.R. tested nuclear weapons in the atmosphere until the early 1960s, while they continued to create more efficient weapons. It didn’t take either country long to get those weapons on intercontinental ballistic missiles and then submarine-launched ballistic missiles. They created a situation in which the world could be destroyed in a matter of minutes.

This threat of a massive nuclear exchange was thought to provide an ad hoc policy to prevent nuclear war. It was called the policy of Mutually Assured Destruction, for which the acronym was M.A.D. or MAD. Never was an acronym more accurately descriptive.

We came very close to a nuclear exchange between Washington and Moscow in 1962 with the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was a very frightening time, and we can all be thankful that sanity managed to prevail. There were high-ranking U.S. officials at the time who were pressing for bombing Cuba, which would have meant a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. That was one of many close calls during the Cold War.

With the end of the Cold War, there seemed to be a real chance again to put nuclear dangers behind us, and once again the opportunity was largely missed.

... We still have some 30,000 nuclear weapons in the world, and some 4,000 of these are on hair-trigger alert. You have to wonder about a species that seems so incapable of eliminating the greatest danger to its own survival. Not so incidentally, the United States has more nuclear weapons in its arsenal than any other nation.

There has been much emphasis in the news about the dangers of nuclear proliferation in such countries as North Korea. All countries should abide by the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Few Americans are aware, however, that the treaty also provides that the U.S. and other nuclear-weapons states must reduce their numbers of nuclear weapons.

Unfortunately, disarmament by nuclear-weapons states receives limited attention in news reporting, at least within the United States. I think this might be because the continuing existence of our own vast arsenal doesn’t seem to Americans, even if they are aware of it, to be nearly as dangerous as the threat of new nations acquiring the ghastly weapons.

The survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki — the hibakusha — have continually warned, “Nuclear weapons and human beings cannot coexist.” In the end, I believe this is the most important lesson of Hiroshima. We must eliminate nuclear weapons before they eliminate us.

The best security, perhaps the only security, against nuclear weapons being used again, or getting into the hands of terrorists, is to eliminate them. Most of the people of the world already know this. Now it is up to the world’s people to impress the urgency of this situation upon their governments. We must act now. The future depends upon us.

Anything less would be to abandon our responsibility to future generations.

HOW TO BE PREFECT!

Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer . . . AND
Lazarus was dead!
AND YOU EXPECT ME TO BE PERFECT?
Nothing containing 1 drop of human DNA can EVER be called PERFECT!
Even Jesus of Nazareth admitted when called “GOOD SIR”
That “ONLY THE FATHER IN HEAVEN IS GOOD (Perfect)”
So don’t expect ANYTHING DIFFERENT from me.
I am however SINLESS.
WHAT? YOU MAY ASK.
Yes, Whenever one accepts that God forgives their sin…
.. They are no longer a “SinnER” …
.. They are forgiven ENTIRELY of ALL SIN…
..Past, Present AND FUTURE!
Only in this way can any thing made of flesh
Unite with the GOD who is LOVE!
It is written and I believe:
“LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS”
Thus NOW I am made perfect through Christ/LOVE
Think on this…
..could this be the method by which Jesus also was FREE FROM SIN?
If So, perhaps Jesus understands you better than you imagine.

Biblical "SEALS" found in Jerusalem may prove some Bible History

Biblical artifact found in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Scholars in Jerusalem say they have unearthed evidence corroborating a story in the Old Testament's Book of Jeremiah.

The evidence consists of intact official seals made of clay bearing the name of one of two of King Tzidkiyahu's ministers who had called for the execution of the prophet Jeremiah in 597-586 B.C., IsraelNN.com reported Sunday.

The seal bearing the name Gedaliahu ben Pashur was found at a site at the entrance to the city of David not far from where the seal of court elder Yuchal ben Shlemiyahu was dug up three years ago.

IsraelNN said the pair were among those who urged the king to execute Jeremiah for his calls to surrender the city to the advancing Babylonians.

"How absolutely fantastic and special this find is, can only be realized when you hold in your hand this magnificent 1-centimeter piece of clay and know that it survived 2,600 years in the debris of the destruction, and came to us complete and in perfect condition," said Eilat Mazar, a professor at Hebrew University and leader of the dig.

The PRAYER to GOD.com (repost from: Linkjunction )

Dear Lord,
Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head,
God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.
And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer, too.
Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.
You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.
I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.
By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.
Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.
Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits "send".
When you update your Heavely list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.com
AMEN

FAITH

FAITH ALWAYS DEFEATS FEAR

Many people live a life of almost constant anxiety.

Anxiety is based in Fear and Fear is proven to do great physical, emotional and YES…Even SPIRITUAL damage.

So many people suffer from FEAR that they end up often seeking psychiatric help and meds in order to cope when , in many cases, a healthy dose of “FAITH” would suffice.

Today many people use the word “Faith” to denote ONLY a spiritual belief and though it is something that indeed comes from the Spirit it actually goes well beyond a specific religious definition.

One might even define “Faith” as a form of “Hope” but it tends to be even a bit stronger than hope.

The Bible says that Faith is very important and defines it and explains this importance in the Book of Hebrews Chapter 11 (sometimes called the “Faith Chapter”).

Here is the entire content of Hebrews 11:

Hebrews
Chapter 11
1
1 Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence 2 of things not seen.
2
Because of it the ancients were well attested (commended by God).
3
By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God, 3 so that what is visible came into being through the invisible.
4
4 By faith Abel offered to God a sacrifice greater than Cain's. Through this he was attested to be righteous, God bearing witness to his gifts, and through this, though dead, he still speaks.
5
By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and "he was found no more because God had taken him." Before he was taken up, he was attested to have pleased God.
6
5 But without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
7
By faith Noah, warned about what was not yet seen, with reverence built an ark for the salvation of his household. Through this he condemned the world and inherited the righteousness that comes through faith.
8
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; he went out, not knowing where he was to go.
9
By faith he sojourned in the promised land as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs of the same promise;
10
for he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and maker is God.
11
By faith he received power to generate, even though he was past the normal age--and Sarah herself was sterile--for he thought that the one who had made the promise was trustworthy.
12
So it was that there came forth from one man, himself as good as dead, descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sands on the seashore.
13
All these died in faith. They did not receive what had been promised but saw it and greeted it from afar and acknowledged themselves to be strangers and aliens on earth,
14
for those who speak thus show that they are seeking a homeland.
15
If they had been thinking of the land from which they had come, they would have had opportunity to return.
16
But now they desire a better homeland, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
17
By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was ready to offer his only son,
18
of whom it was said, "Through Isaac descendants shall bear your name."
19
6 He reasoned that God was able to raise even from the dead, and he received Isaac back as a symbol.
20
By faith regarding things still to come Isaac 7 blessed Jacob and Esau.
21
By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and "bowed in worship, leaning on the top of his staff."
22
By faith Joseph, near the end of his life, spoke of the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his bones.
23
By faith Moses was hidden by his parents for three months after his birth, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict.
24
8 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25
he chose to be ill-treated along with the people of God rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasure of sin.
26
He considered the reproach of the Anointed greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the recompense.
27
By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's fury, for he persevered as if seeing the one who is invisible.
28
By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.
29
By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if it were dry land, but when the Egyptians attempted it they were drowned.
30
By faith the walls of Jericho fell after being encircled for seven days.
31
By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish with the disobedient, for she had received the spies in peace.
32
What more shall I say? I have not time to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,
33
who by faith conquered kingdoms, did what was righteous, obtained the promises; they closed the mouths of lions,
34
put out raging fires, escaped the devouring sword; out of weakness they were made powerful, became strong in battle, and turned back foreign invaders.
35
Women received back their dead through resurrection. Some were tortured and would not accept deliverance, in order to obtain a better resurrection.
36
Others endured mockery, scourging, even chains and imprisonment.
37
They were stoned, sawed in two, put to death at sword's point; they went about in skins of sheep or goats, needy, afflicted, tormented.
38
The world was not worthy of them. They wandered about in deserts and on mountains, in caves and in crevices in the earth.
39
Yet all these, though approved because of their faith, did not receive what had been promised.
40
God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect. 9

So, thus we see that according to this source that faith is valued as being pretty important if we are to try and fulfill anything whatsoever for God.

Now “Fear” is the opposite of “Faith”.

It is the “lacking of trust”, “the disbelief in hope” and the “worry that something horrible will happen without any evidence“..

…Thus “Fear” is sort of a “Negative Faith” because it has “faith that something bad is going to happen and distrusts that there is a God (or any other positive force) who will take care of it.”

There is a popular acronym that “FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real”.. meaning that most fear is NOT real.. But is rather an “illusion“.

If fear is illusory then what is fear really?… It actually does not exist except in the mind and in most cases turns out to be NOTHING!

O.K. , admittedly there are times when fear can be helpful. It helps increase the bodies adrenal glands in preparation for “flight or flight” response BUT HERE IS WHEN FAITH COMES IN.. Because when we TRUST GOD we should be cautious and follow our spirit… but FEAR should really not play a big factor. God will protect us in accordance to his will and we should accept God’s will..

…Thus my TRUST in God and my Faith in that trust means I really need never Fear.

Here are a few more Bible references regarding “fear and faith” worthy of inclusion:

Luke 18:42; Mark 10:52; Matthew 9:22
And Jesus Said to him, Receive your sight: your Faith has Saved you.
... Go your way; your Faith has made you whole.
And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the Way.
... and when He Saw her, He Said, Daughter, be of good comfort; your Faith has made you whole.
And the woman was made whole from that hour.
.
.....
.Luke 5:20; Matthew 16:26; 17:7
And when He Saw their Faith, He Said to him, Man, your sins are forgiven you.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
And Jesus Came and Touched them, and Said, Arise, and be not afraid.

Mark 4:40; Matthew 14:31; Mark 11:22
And He Said to them, Why are you so fearful?
How is it that you have no Faith?
And immediately Jesus Stretched forth His Hand,
and Caught him, and Said to him, O you of little Faith, wherefore did you doubt?
And Jesus Answering Saith to them, Have Faith in GOD.

Isaiah 41:13 Mark 11:23
For I, The LORD your GOD will Hold your right hand,
Saying to you, Fear not; I will Help you.
... and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which
he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.

Matthew 16:15, 17; Psalms 107:1,2,3; John 17:22
He Saith unto them, But Whom say you that I AM?
And Simon Peter answered and said,
Thou Art The Christ, the Son of The Living GOD.
.
And Jesus Answered and Said to him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you,
but My FATHER which Is In Heaven.
O, give thanks to The LORD, for HE IS Good,
for His Mercy Endures forever.
... Let the redeemed of The LORD say so,
... whom He has Redeemed from the hand of the enemy; ...
..... and Gathered them out of the lands, from the East, ...
the West, ... from the North and from the South.
The Glory which You Gave Me, I have Given them;
that they may be One, as WE ARE ONE.
John 14:27; Luke 7:50; II Peter 1,2
Peace I Leave with you, My Peace I Give to you.
Not as the world gives Give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
And He Said ... ,
Your Faith has Saved you; go in peace

The SECRET is Not a Secret

A book called “The Secret” was highly touted a while back and frankly the ideas contained in it are nothing all that new.. Nor are they really a “Secret”. The theories of “As above.. So below” , “attraction” and “positive mental attitude” go back further than history records.

The word “Secret” makes the book more popular because everybody loves a “secret” and just like the word “Code” ( i.e. “The Bible CODE”, “The DaVinci CODE” ) tends to make any book a bit more popular… (hm? Maybe a book called “The SECRET CODE” would sell better than flapjacks…LOL).

Anyway, even though OPRAH recommended this book I would suggest one not actually make it a new “gospel” and yet many are approaching it as though “Think and Grow Rich” and “How to Win Friends and Influence People” are now passé’.

Positive thinking is a great idea yet positive thinking ALONE cannot do a thing without POSITIVE ACTION (“Faith without works is dead”)… But often people are looking for some kind of magical way to make only a “thought” bring them health, wealth and success.. And although THINKING is a great start if that is all you do then expect that you will be disappointed.

The following is a reprint of an article that appeared today on AOL NEWS regarding the book and theory and the real “secret” is there is no real “secret” to success.

“Success takes positive thought combined with positive action“…

… If you can understand THAT then you can save yourself some time and money on a book and begin to ACTUALIZE the true “secret” (as if there is one) to success!

The Secret: Is It the Real Deal?
A theory about the power of positive thinking draws adherents -- and controversy.

Imagine if all successful people knew something that you didn't -- something that enabled them to amass tremendous amounts of riches and live long, healthy, happy, and potentially disease-free lives.

Well, they just might, according to a hot new self-help book and a documentary DVD aptly titled The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. The Secret boasts a growing list of disciples including talk show host Oprah Winfrey. It basically takes the power of positive thinking to a higher ground.

Envisioning What You Want Will Help You Attract It

In a nutshell, if you think it, want it, and feel it, it can be yours -- whether it's good health, a new BMW, or even a spot on American Idol. According to Byrne and many who teach the tenets of The Secret, such luminaries as Plato, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo, Beethoven, Einstein, and many more all knew this.

The Secret is really quantum physics in action, explains Anne Taylor, the Cleveland-based author of Secrets of Attraction and Quantum Success.

"The Secret is the law of attraction and that's about energy," she tells WebMD.

Like Attracts Like

According to quantum physics, we all project measurable energetic frequencies or vibrations, she explains. "We project energy in our emotions, beliefs, and thoughts, and that is really the source of what and who we attract and the basis of our sense of well-being," she says.

"If I am always depressed, that's what I project in my energy field -- and I attract people and situations that are even more depressing," she says. "It's about matching energies."
The Secret is "not wishing for something and thinking about it and focusing on it, it's about understanding and perhaps changing our personal energy," she says.

Take infertility, for example. "If you are urgent and desperate to achieve something like having a baby, then that urgency and desperation will sabotage your intention," she says. "You need to try to release the urgency. You will become more fertile and more likely to conceive if you are relaxed, not anxious, and not obsessing."

The Law of Attraction Plus Action

Amy Applebaum, a Los Angeles-based life coach and certified hypnotherapist, puts it this way: "The law of attraction is about attracting what you want. Like a magnet, you attract what you focus on," she tells WebMD.

"If you focus on the negative or the problems in your life, your life will be 'the problem.' But if you focus on solutions and what you want, your life will be 'the solution,'" says Applebaum, author of the forthcoming Bootcamp for Your Mind.

But, she cautions, "you don't get what you want just by sitting in a room and thinking about what you want. The key to all of this is action: Your actions must be in alignment with your thinking," she says. "Without it, you are sitting on the couch, dreaming up your life, but nothing is getting created."

The Secret Cure?

Secret teacher John Assaraf, CEO of OneCoach, a San Diego-based consulting firm that helps entrepreneurs and small-business owners increase their profits, says he harnessed the power of The Secret to cure his ulcerative colitis, a debilitating condition marked by inflammation of the colon and diarrhea.

At age 21, Assaraf was taking 20 pills a day, receiving shots of steroids, and undergoing two enemas per day to treat the condition. Frustrated by this regimen, he began to visualize his body as healthy, recite daily affirmations, meditate, and eat a bland diet replete with vitamins and minerals. He even dumped his pills in the ocean.

"In three weeks, my symptoms started to get significantly better, and by five weeks, I was back to normal," recalls Assaraf, who talks about this in the book and movie version of The Secret. "For me, this was a great awakening of the power of the mind and my first real lesson that everything is energy -- and that my thoughts control the energy and vibrations in my body and that all the cells in my body respond to these thoughts," says the author of The Street Kid's Guide to Having It All.

According to Assaraf, our thoughts and environment can reverse and prevent disease despite what is in our genes.

"We all have within us the ability to heal ourselves," he says. "We have an incredible pharmacy in our brain that can produce more potent chemicals than any drug known to man," he says. By contrast, "consistent negative thoughts send consistent negative chemicals into the bloodstream."

Doctors' Views

Not so fast, says Gilbert Ross, MD. He is the executive director and medical director of the American Council on Science and Health (ACSH), a New York City-based consumer education-public health organization. Sure, "studies show that people that are optimistic do tend to do better than people with a pessimistic outlook. But The Secret doesn't sound kosher to me," he says. "I don’t believe it, and there is absolutely no scientific basis for these effects."

"Those who try to convince people who are suffering from various diseases -- most of whom are desperate -- and would link to any offer of hope, no matter how farfetched, are doing a terrible disservice," he says. "One cannot hope a sunny disposition will replace appropriate medical evaluation and care."

Stephen Barrett, MD, a retired psychiatrist in Allentown, Pa., who operates Quackwatch.com, a web site devoted to exposing quackery and health fraud, agrees with Ross. "There is no evidence that thinking can modify disease other than occasional relaxation exercises," he says. "Thoughts have nothing to do with physics. They are talking about a concept of energy that cannot be measured."

"The energy involved in physics can be measured in a number of different ways," he stresses. "There is nothing real about what they are talking about. They are talking about imaginary energy. The idea of a secret remedy is a classic quack claim."

Secret Rx for Health?

Another Secret teacher, entrepreneur James Arthur Ray, the president and CEO of the Carlsbad, Calif.-based James Ray International, recently appeared on Oprah to discuss The Secret.

"The Secret is based upon the scientific evidence that all things are energy. And like energies are attracted to each other and dissimilar energies repel," says Ray, the author of several books including The Science of Success: How to Attract Prosperity and Create Harmonic Wealth Through Proven Principles.

For instance, "if you're constantly thinking and feeling broke, and acting upon those thoughts and emotions, you'll never create and experience prosperity."

When it comes to chronic diseases, "Michael J. Fox is a great example of noticing his situation is a gift," Ray says. Fox has Parkinson's disease and has been widely quoted as saying that he is grateful for his Parkinson's disease and that his life is richer for it.
In addition, "there are mounds of research of complete turnaround and remission with all these [chronic] diseases," Ray says. "At minimum, [The Secret] will give anyone practicing a sense of peace and a better quality of life."

Maurice A. Ramirez, DO, the founder of High Alert, a disaster preparedness consulting firm in Kissimmee, Fla., is also in on The Secret.

The former emergency room doctor can't count the number of times he or fellow doctors have said 'by all rights this person should have been dead' when they go on to survive and thrive.

The common denominator? "Those who believe in something, whether God or a spirit or just in the fact that they will get better do, in fact, get better, get sick less often, and do better," he says. "We see this in health care every day."

But, he cautions, "it's not just enough to think yourself healthy, you still have to act on it by exercise or eating a healthy diet or in some cases, by taking your medicine, and by taking good advice," he says, adding that the flip side is also true. "Action without belief is futile."

The secret of The Secret -- applying the law of attraction to success -- is not new, explains Judy Williamson, director of the Napoleon Hill World Learning Center at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Ind. Napoleon Hill, a reporter-turned motivational speaker, first wrote Think and Grow Rich in 1937 -- and some say this idea even goes back further. Hill interviewed more than 500 of America's most successful self-made businessmen to uncover the secrets to their success.

One of Hill's principles involves learning from adversity and defeat. "When you have a setback or any kind of trauma, Napoleon Hill says that there is good within the bad and you need to take that mindset and look for whatever it is that could be good within the bad," Williamson says.

"If we maintain a positive mental attitude, we can achieve anything in life," she says. "It's not going to cure cancer, but an attitude of hope may allow a person to look for cures or treatments that they may not have before."

It Can't Hurt -- or Can It?

"It tends to blame the victim -- the one who didn't think correctly," points out Neil Fiore, PhD, a Berkeley, Calif.-based psychologist and author of Awaken Your Strongest Self: Break Free of Stress, Inner Conflict, and Self-Sabotage. "It can cause people greater stress by worrying if they're causing cancer by having the wrong thoughts and emotions."
According to Fiore, The Secret makes people afraid of their genuine emotions of depression/sadness and anger/upset. "This is just wrong and counter to the research on the benefits of expressing difficult "negative" emotions and the negative effects of stoically acting as if you're being positive."

BE LOVE & BE LOVED!

"SUPER-JEW?" HUH?

Look, Up in sky over Israel.. It’s a Bird.. ( I hope it’s Kosher) ..It‘s a Plane (I hope it’s not Islamic).. Wait.. It’s URI-ON .. THE SUPER HEBREW.. Fighting for Moses…The Torah and dominance of Jerusalem BY Strict Jewish Law…..

OK , it’s not my style to rip on a culture.. Thank God I have Hebrew blood in me or I might be bordering on racism here but which is more racist… to see all men as equal OR to claim that God prefers and singles out one bloodline as better than another.

Frankly the comic book URI-ON (the cover of which is pictured above) was actually published in the late 80’s.

Wikipedia says of it the following:

“The adventures of Uri-On were initially published in Israel in 1987, in four-color comic books, and continued later in the children's magazine Kulanu , for several years.

The publication elicited criticism and controversy for its serious and patriotic Israeli superhero, whose author was considered to harbor right-wing political sentiment as a West Bank resident, at a time when Israeli culture was seen to have grown past such idealism. In the letter columns of the comic book, Netzer rebutted these claims by stressing the support for a peaceful solution to the plot conflict in the series storyline, and the cultural abundance of patriotism seen in American superheroes, on which Uri-On was based.

Many mistakenly consider "Uri-On" to be the first Israeli superhero. "Uri-On" is the first Israeli superhero to be published in color, but the first Israeli superhero was actually "Sabraman" which was created by Uri Fink and published in black-and-white in the late 1970s.

Uri-On was named after the Israeli news commentator Uri Orbach, Netzer's friend and roommate at the time he created the character.”

In the US we have Superman and he seeks Truth, Justice and the American Way which as I understand it is based in Freedom… The Freedom to be .. Well… FREE! Although I sadly see this changing a great deal.. Especially since 9/11 when we began exchanging our freedom for some type of perceived security (frankly let me keep my freedom and I’ll trust GOD for my security.. thank you).

It’s always amazed me that per capita the Nation of Israel has more nuclear weapons than any nation in the World and yet claim God’s favor and recent reports are that Israel is soon to purchase another 2+ BILLION in what they call “Defense Systems“ … It seems to me if you trust in God to protect you then you have no need of weapons at all.

I am not sure that Dispensationalist “Christian ZionISTs” have a clue about how much control of the residents of Israel has eliminated personal freedoms of a people we support as if they were one of out own.

ZionISM contains within it a very RACIALLY political centrist and hyper-conservative legalism that if presented as legislation in this country would not even be acceptable to the most conservative of our own people.

The US claims to support Freedom and yet here we are standing up behind a nation that is becoming increasingly Ultra Orthodox.. But we do not bother to explore what this means because I suppose if we did we would have to ask why America is supporting a form of censorship and oppressiveness that is not anywhere near freedom and commands only a zealous observance of racially and spiritually based HARD CORE LAWS.

I actually originally did not intend a Blog about an old Israeli comic character but I found it during a time of doing research about URI ORBACH.. The man who apparently the authors room mate and author of following letter published recently in a Hebrew newspaper.

I will reprint it here IN FULL so you can read between the lines properly and I say read between the lines because Mr. Orbach shows in this letter something every FREE person should be aware of… It shows a Nation becoming more and more legalistic and I am tempted to ask when they will begin killing sacrifices and stoning people again (in accordance with the Torah).

As you read this really think about what it is we are supporting in the Israel of today.. Should we be as supportive of a Nation that seeks to take away the freedoms of it’s people just so we can sell them weapons and have a great place to fight Wars to keep oil prices down.. Is it right for a democratic Nation to support a Nation becoming increasingly oppressive in it’s own right?.. I am just asking.. You may all decide because as one Nation loses it’s rights for whatever reason… the rest likewise shall be effected.

(NOTE: again.. I am NOT Racist.. I am a person who is FOR UNITY which means no race or people should claim dominance or superiority over another… How odd that those cultures who make a big thing over race are often the most race oriented of all.. Very sad)

Here is the story/letter that got me started:

Goodbye, Jerusalem

Uri Orbach writes about the little things that mark ultra-Orthodox takeover of Jerusalem
A commentary by: Uri Orbach

I don’t care that Meir Porush will replace Uri Lupolianski as mayor of Jerusalem. This is really a small matter. What, should I be scared of him just because his beard is a little longer? After all, we are dealing with a well-known figure, a deputy minister – what can he do that Lupolianski didn’t? The fact that he’s considered a little more Orthodox and a little more belligerent doesn’t scare me too much. It’s the same thing more or less; things will remain the same. What’s the difference?

This isn’t the first time I don’t care.

The convenience store at our neighborhood in Jerusalem stopped selling Yedioth Ahronoth years ago. Instead, they offered us religious newspapers and perhaps the Jerusalem Post too, because it’s ok to sell secular material in English. Yet I didn’t care, because I subscribe to the newspaper I choose to read and get it delivered to my door. I would also travel to another neighborhood to buy the other newspaper, which I read over the weekend. Not a big deal. What’s the difference?

I also stopped caring that the grocery store stopped selling a certain chocolate bar because it didn’t get the strictest kosher certificate. This is really a petty matter. You can just choose another chocolate bar instead. If it hurts the Orthodox that this specific chocolate bar is being sold at the store, we don’t need to do it on purpose. There are other kinds of chocolate. What’s the difference?

I also stopped caring that female singers are no longer allowed to perform in municipal shows. If the Orthodox are bothered by singing females, let men sing. If girls want to sing, let them sing in the shower, as long as they’re modestly dressed. And if regular songs bother them, they should sing holy songs only. What’s the difference between one song and another?

To tell you the truth, suddenly I also don’t care that you can only enter the supermarket modestly dressed. I’m modestly dressed anyway. And who cares if in “kosher buses” women sit at the end of the bus while the men sit at the front. The end, the front, what’s the difference?

In short, I don’t care about all those minor issues. So what if the city doesn’t allow us to do all sorts of small things that we can easily do without anyway?

Why should I care?

What’s the difference?

And in any case, I haven’t been living in Jerusalem for a year now.
