OLDEST BIBLE available OnLine on July 24th
On Thursday, July 24th a translated copy of the world's "Oldest Bible text" will become available for viewing ONLINE.
The "Codex Sinaiticus" is one of the most important books in the world. Handwritten well over 1600 years ago, the manuscript contains the Christian Bible in Greek, including the oldest complete copy of the New Testament. Its heavily corrected text is of outstanding importance for the history of the Bible and the manuscript - the oldest substantial book to survive Antiquity - is of supreme importance for the history of the book.
For more information please go to the official website at http://www.codex-sinaiticus.net/
There are already other translations on the internet of this text ( such as the one at http://www.sinaiticus.com/ ) however the new site will allow scholars to not only view the translation... but also offer a view of the actual original document.
For those interested in SACRED TEXT STUDY I have recently added a column on the right side of my Blog including some links to websites where the sacred texts of many faiths and religions are available.
I will be adding other sites and if any readers have any favorite "Sacred Text Library Sites" please send me your Links and I will add them.
